With the transdisciplinary project Untie to Tie, which began in 2017, Alya Sebti has developed an exhibition and research project for ifa Gallery Berlin that initiated a discourses around the legacies of colonialism as well as movement, migration, and the environment.
Through an approach that observes, complicates, and re-narrates the world from multiplicitous and plural perspectives, ifa Gallery Berlin shapes empowering processes, interactions, and artistic spaces.
In its exhibitions and educational programming, and by entering alliances, the gallery’s program sits with contradictions and both retraces and reconfigures global entanglements.
