The artist will present and discuss for the first time in its complete form Résistance Naturelle (Organic Resistance). The 17 minute-film aims to open spaces of negotiation, summoning the micro-stories made invisible by official history, and explores their places and stakes in contemporary societies. Abdessamad El Montassir is a native of Boujdour, a location in the Sahara in southwest Morocco, and uses this geographical zone as an analytical starting point. The artist creates reflexive processes that invite viewers to rethink history and mappings through collective narratives and non-material archives.
The event will take place in French and will be consecutively translated into English. Free entry.
