On the occasion of Poland’s 1000th anniversary, the ifa Gallery Berlin is presenting its first monographic exhibition in Germany: a survey of the work of Wojciech Prazmowski, probably the best-known Polish photographer internationally.
Born in 1949 in Czestochowa,Wojciech Prazmowski trained in artistic photography from 1972 to 1974 in Brno, Czechoslovakia. He prefers the sandwich form and sculptural approaches in his works on paper and his art objects, for which he processes old, mostly found photographs and combines them with each other or with photographs he takes himself.
