As part of the exhibition Diaspora Wonderland. Fashioning Worlds.

In her exhibition contribution Behind the Scenes, artist and designer Buki Akomolafe offers a glimpse into her artistic practice. In this workshop, she will introduce us to her work and invite everyone to collaboratively create a quilt. Drawing on her creative methods, the process will weave together stories of identity, belonging, and community.

Please feel free to bring along fabrics that hold special meaning for you or tell a story. Everyone is welcome, regardless of prior sewing or artistic experience. Materials such as needles, thread, and scissors will be provided.

We look forward to collaging, stitching, and sharing stories in an open and welcoming environment.

Open to all, EN / DE
