An open family program for the finissage of the exhibition Joël Andrianomearisoa / MEASURES LULLABIES AND WHISPERS at ifa Gallery Berlin.

Lullabies are melodies of transition – they accompany us in the intermediate state between the waking and dream worlds, day and night. Joël Andrianomearisoa took inspiration for this exhibition from the lullaby his grandmother used to sing to him before bed, Iny Hono Izy Ravorombazaha [the white bird]. The words may have been forgotten, but the body remembers the rhythm and the vibrations.

What sounds, what poetry is hummed, sung, recited or murmured at the edge of your bed? Which melodies and which voices emerge in your memories?

Bring your lullaby! For the finissage, we invite families and everyone interested to bring their own lullabies and weave them into a large sound collage. We want to draw our dream images on this tapestry of sound and lure the moods and creatures that inhabit the intermediate worlds of day and dream onto paper. Fireflies will accompany us on our way home into the Berlin summer night…

An open, free offer for children and adults aged 3-99 years

The workshop will be led by Annika Niemann.
